Hi! I’m Chris Sukach and I’m a storyteller. I share and am fascinated by stories of people’s experiences. And whether those stories come in the form of video, print, imagery or spoken word, I see it as my job to ensure they’re catalogued for posterity.
Over the past 15 years I’ve worked public relations, including crisis communications, and have learned to write stories, shoot images and publish for the web. I also capture, edit and post audio and video products and share via social media.
With a BA in Theater/Philosophy, my goal is to return to my roots, sharing and interpreting stories in creative ways that resonate, which is why I’m currently attaining an MA in New Media Journalism.
The best stories aren’t just a one-way one-time broadcast, rather they’re conversations that continue to evolve over time, adding texture and dimension that only develop when the storyteller and stories’ characters trust one another. These are the stories I want to share with you.
In order to gain trust, one must be willing to be vulnerable in some manner or another. And more times than not, that vulnerability paves a path to a strength of human character that’s at the heart of every engaging story.
So when am I at my most vulnerable? When my dog is sleeping on my lap, when half my makeup is done, when I’m curling up for a nap, and when I’m scratching in the soil, hoping my plants will live.
